Administrative Assistant ($2,583 - $4,134/month)


About the Position: The Administrative Assistant will multitask in performing a variety of responsible, clerical work in support of the District staff. The position will typically work a 9/80 schedule with alternating Fridays off. Some early morning and evening
meetings may be required. This is a FLSA non-exempt position, subject to an introductory period of one year. The position reports to the Assistant General Manager-Administration and regularly interacts with the Executive Assistant.

The Ideal Administrative Assistant: The ideal Administrative Assistant will enjoy working in a small office environment with a supportive and professional team of coworkers. They will be self-initiated and self-reliant, and possess a broad range of skills in the field of business and clerical support. They will readily take ownership of assignments, have a sense of humor, be dedicated to their chosen field and be willing to do whatever it takes to get a job done. They will show respect for all business contacts, even when those contacts have differing views and abilities. They must enjoy the excitement of working with multiple tasks and show good judgment in
prioritizing assignments.

Typical Duties: Performs a variety of responsible clerical and administrative assignments for the District staff, including answering telephones, purchasing supplies, providing word processing and data entry support, planning and setting up for meetings, assisting and providing information to the public; performs other duties as required.

Position Qualifications and Requirements: Requires two to three years of general administrative and office experience, preferably in a special district or public agency.
