TREASURER, Represents Division III - elected by the voters of Claremont and La Verne.

 

Brian Bowcock represents the cities of Claremont and La Verne and has been a resident of La Verne since 1978. Director Bowcock retired following a 47-year career in the municipal utility business, working for the City of Ontario, Monte Vista Water District (Montclair) and retiring as the Director of Public Works for the City of La Verne after twenty-two years of service. Director Bowcock's service in the water utility industry includes having served as President, Controller and Board of Directors of Southern California Water Utilities Association, President and Board of Directors of the Inland County Water Utility Association, President and Charter member of Six Basins Watermaster, Board Member of the California Urban Water Conservation Council and Committee member to the University of Southern California's Backflow Foundation.

 

Mr. Bowcock is a member of the following organizations: American Water Works Association (56) years, ("Life Member"),  Association of California Water Agencies (41 years), Past President and member of the Board of Directors for the Citrus College Foundation since 2008. "I’m proud of the 60 years of working in/with/and for the water industry."

 

Mr. Bowcock received the Volunteer of the Year Award in 2009 from AWWA.

 

His son has followed in his footsteps and started a firm in Claremont, Integrated Resources Management, which deals with water and environmental issues. Mr. Bowcock is married and has 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
