Erika Gomez, CPA

Chief Finance Officer

As Chief Finance Officer, Ms. Gomez oversees the District’s financial operations, including budgeting, accounting and financial reporting, long-term financial planning, financial policies and internal controls, and other activities supporting the District’s long-term financial stability.

Ms. Gomez joined TVMWD with nearly 10 years of local government finance experience. Prior to joining the District, she served as Finance Director for the City of San Jacinto, where her responsibilities included financial planning and reporting, utility finance and rate studies, infrastructure funding, and financial system implementation. She began her local government career with the San Bernardino County Auditor Controller/Treasurer/Tax Collector’s Office, where she held several positions and ultimately served as General Accounting Manager.

Ms. Gomez holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of California. Her professional involvement includes previously serving as Chair of the Western Riverside Council of Governments Finance Committee. She currently serves as Vice-Chair of the Communications Committee for the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO). Ms. Gomez can be reached at (909) 621-5568.
